Verdict

Murcar was far from disgraced with his performance behind Tout Regulier last time given the subsequent exploits of the winner but the verdict lands on TOTOMAN after a facile success over course and distance while Arcadia Boy looks interesting on his first start for Don McCain. A tongue strap made all the difference for the pick on his last run when he scored by five lengths over course and distance in a similar race. Tim Vaughan has got his string in good form and he is just starting to get the best out of this one so there maybe more to come. Murcar has started to show signs for form in recent starts but his temperament is still in questions so a bigger danger might be debutante Jockies Burn who looks the part on paper and is from powerful connections. Arcadia Boy showed some progressive form in two runs last term and his new top yard saw enough to like about him. Any market support his way would be interesting but Totoman was impressive last time and there might be more to come.
