In depth

Verdict

Competitive fare and a contest in which a couple of very lightly-raced four-year-olds catch the eye. Niarbyl Bay has only had three starts to date and now makes his handicap bow on just a second start on turf. He's hard to assess but has to be of interest. If anything, PROPHET'S DREAM is even more interesting as he hasn't been seen for 325 days when going really close on just a fourth career start at Goodwood nosed out by the useful Simply Sondheim. He may well need this return to action but is a chance worth taking, especially if the market speaks favourably of his chance. Gert Lush also has a first start of the campaign and this solid handicapper is a definite for the shortlist along with God Of Thunder who shaped well on his seasonal reappearance. Far Horizon has each-way claims.
