In depth

Verdict

A wide open looking handicap in which we will give the tentative vote to The Hoofer with both Hla Tun and Holden Caulfield worth noting. The selection has dropped to what looks like a handy mark and even though the John Dunlop trained individual has not achieved much to date this looks his easiest opportunity for success so far. Hla Tun is relatively unexposed with only five runs under his belt. His latest effort was his best to date when third to Topazes at Southwell on the all weather but more may be needed here. Holden Caulfield is another that showed his best form on his latest outing. He caught the eye at Wolverhampton finishing second of thirteen at a big price and if translating that form to the turf he warrants respect. But for the winner we return to The Hoofer.
