        Verdict

        Astroangel gets the nod over Feolin, Nicada and Princess Zada in an open affair. There are plenty in with chances in this class 5 handicap, so only a moderate vote goes to Astroangel who has been placed on a few occasions already this season. The Mark Tompkins-trained filly is still a maiden, but she is well handicapped and her recent third at Pontefract was encouraging. Feolin seemed to appreciate the cut in the ground when scoring at Brighton the time before last, and is not certain to act on today's faster terrain. Nicada has been placed on a couple of occasions as well, and with the cheekpieces on, is another to consider along with Princess Zada. Astroangel gets weight off them all though, and is the pick of the bunch.
