Verdict
DUKE OF PERTH was returned a losing favourite when runner-up at Pontefract last time, but what seemed a disappointing effort at the time looks better in hindsight. The winner Royal Skies has won again since and the third-placed horse has also franked the form with a victory. Luca Cumani's charge gets another chance today on that basis. Perfect Cracker posted a poor effort effort back over a mile last time having scored over track and trip before that but he can figure along with Honey Of A Kitten. Wilfred Pickles was still beaten a long way when runner-up at Kempton last month and Stiff Upper Lip makes more appeal that the top weight.
