        Verdict

        Methaaly is generally better on the all-weather but was only beaten a length in a better contest at Haydock last month. Clear Focus won over course and distance in June and her latest effort at Brighton brings her into the equation while Arch Walker has won at the track, though his best form is over 5f. It's 47 races since DIAMOND VINE last got his head in front but he's been thereabouts lately and was racing from out of the handicap when fourth at Goodwood last month. He gets a very tentative vote back off his correct mark here.
