Verdict

Charlie's Yard impressed on his first two starts for David Evans after leaving Emmet Mullins, but his last two runs suggest the handicapper has exacted a level of revenge. However, it is noteworthy to see him dropped significantly in trip here. Course and distance winner It's How We Roll has no secrets from the assessor, is consistent at this level and should run his race, with similar comments applicable to the solid Cafe Sydney. Limited Ability is interesting insofar as he has no form in three maiden/novice starts but a talented apprentice is booked on this handicap debut and he steps up notably in trip. The market may tell the story with him, but OVERSTATE (NAP) has improved with experience and a longer trip and is hard to oppose after his recent eight-length demolition of his Ripon rivals over 1m4f.
