Verdict
The four-year-old Sumou probably has the best Turf form having finished second in a soft-ground maiden at Haydock last July. Most of his likely market rivals have been racing on the all-weather with Trotter having gone close the last twice at Wolverhampton. Global Alexander has run a couple of times at Kempton but was too keen last time when the only one backed against favourite Arabian Hope. ESPRIT DE CORPS (NAP) is out of a mare that has already produced four winners. He’s been gelded since failing to quicken behind Chessman at Kempton in November and could be set for a winning reappearance.
