        Verdict

        Chalk Stream never looked like winning when second in a small field at Yarmouth on debut but considerable improvement is likely. The filly Saramenha has a similar profile but Mahomes was a disappointment at Salisbury last month, though Oisin Murphy keeps faith with the beautifully-bred Dubawi colt who has an early Derby entry. Mojandil has already run four times but a further step up in trip may well suit, though ANNANDALE makes more appeal. Mark Johnston’s colt was surprisingly easy to back at Ayr but was staying on in the closing stages over a mile and is bred stay much further.
