    In depth

    Verdict

Diminutive has moved to Grace Harris after being bought of a poor Leicester seller but did score quite effectively and is on a fair mark, likewise Multi Quest, whose recent course and distance success may have owed much to the late withdrawal of the odds-on favourite. River Spirit is starting to look exposed and Hell For Leather and Surrey Pink both need to show more than they have to date in order to figure. The Hannon battalions send once-raced DITTANDER into battle, not seen since landing an early-season Kempton maiden. The handicapper has not chosen to be over-lenient in his assessment but the Exceed And Excel filly did the job nicely enough on debut and could well be up to handling the concession of weight all round.
