In depth

Verdict

Roger Varian won this with a three-year-old when it was last staged and recent acquisition On My Way is eased in grade on her reappearance. Rose Hip won at Ascot last year and has an excellent record here. Declaring Love has won twice at Wolverhampton this year but this is a huge step up in class and she’s not fared with in the draw. WISE WORDS could also have been better drawn but she finished in among some smart sprinters when fourth on her reappearance at Doncaster last year. She loves to hear her hooves rattle and a reproduction of her best form would see her home in front today though it’s unlikely that Dickiedooda, who has won in this grade, has travelled over from County Kildare for the good of her health.
