Verdict
Phinerine has begun to drop in the weights but is still best in here on official ratings and is taken to be too good for In Fashion, Otis B Driftwood and Song Huntress. The selection is by no means a confident one given that he has not broken his maiden tag in 19 starts on any surface. However, his level of form entitles him to have a decent chance here on ground that he has proved he acts on, so we will side with him. In Fashion performed well to be runner up at Lancresse on her first try on fast ground last time out and so this six furlongs should suit, although strictly on the book she still has lots to find. The same can be said for Otis B Driftwood, who is arguably better over the minimum trip, and Song Huntress may be a better proposition. David Bridgewater's filly handles this ground well and has run in defeat over the trip. She regularly performs to a standard that should see her closely involved here, but slight preference is for Phinerine, who can score.
