In depth

Verdict

Galmarley has leading claims at the weights after finishing fifth in the Park Hill and beating Mistress Quickly at Newbury during the summer though has only raced on fast ground so far. A novice winner, Roystonia’s yard won this in 2016 and Luca Cumani sent out last year’s winner but Alwaysandforever struggled in Listed company at Galway last time when High Language finished fifth. Joseph O’Brien also sends maiden winner Cascabel over from Ireland while bumper and hurdles winner True Self won on the Flat at Cork recently and represents Willie Mullins. Trouble And Strife and the progressive Altra Vita could both go well for Sir Mark Prescott with the latter preferred despite having a bit to find on these terms, as does MAM’SELLE. But the William Haggas-trained filly coped with testing ground when placed over today’s trip at Haydock and should be thereabouts if the forecast rain gets into the ground.
