In depth

Verdict

Faithful Ruler has been in action on the all-weather, winning twice at Lingfield and beaten less than a length when third off this mark at Wolverhampton last month. The top weight seems sure to be in the firing-line here, while Signora Frasi should appreciate the return to a mile having stayed on into second behind Patavium Prince over 7f at Lingfield latest when Tuscan King was behind. One Hit Wonder lost his maiden tag at Brighton in October but this opener can go to BOOM AND BUST, who won at Windsor last August and has scope for further improvement this year. Marcus Tregoning's four-year-old was runner-up over this C&D in the autumn and races off the same mark today.
