Verdict
The tough and consistent Fast Cindy is given the nod in a tricky showcase handicap, with Azur, March Alone and Got To Be Cash also on the shortlist. Paul Cole's filly was a progressive three-year-old who is just four pounds higher in the weights than when winning at Newcastle last season, and advertised her wellbeing on her reapperance when going down by just a neck at Warwick. She kept on gamely that day and seems sure to go close again here, so is probably the safest option betting-wise. Azur also ran well on her reappearance, when third over ten furlongs at Leicester, and the booking of Kieren Fallon for Annabel King's mare suggests she is fancied to see out this extra distance. If she stays the trip, she would seem to have strong claims. Got To Be Cash is still a maiden, but has shaped with promise when apprentice-ridden on both starts this season, and with Martin Dwyer now taking over she looks capable of playing a part in the finish. March Alone was having her first run on turf when sixth to Tarawan in a Ladies' Handicap at Doncaster and may be capable of improving on that placing, as she looks guaranteed to stay the trip here. Dance Light ran up a sequence of wins in low-grade races last year but starts the new season on a fairly harsh mark and may be best watched on her reappearance here.
