In depth

Verdict

Wotashirtfull is taken to pick off Whiskey Junction and Walragnek. The selection was heavily punted on a number of occasions last term and in fairness, some of the form has stood up - most notably that behind Van Bossed. He would be much worse off were this a handicap. Whiskey Junction has looked difficult to win with. He is sure to be up there with the early pace this afternoon. Walragnek has a string of placed efforts to his name. He was outstayed over six furlongs on Southwell's fibresand and should do better here. Admiral Bond cost 80000 guineas at the sales and makes a belated debut. Spic N Span is a long standing maiden. Mr Funshine reportedly pulled up sore so his last run can be forgiven. Cherries On Top was well beaten on debut. Not a strong contest on paper and Wotashirtfull is offered one last chance.
