    Verdict

    Arnold Lane made a winning debut at Leicester and wasn't beaten far in what looked a strong conditions race at Beverley though the form of the latter race hasn't worked out. Powerful Wind, a winner on Polytrack in May, showed his versatility when making all for a very easy success in soft conditions at Chester and further rain would aid his cause. The Penny Horse has run in two Listed contests since a winning debut at Nottingham and will find this less taxing while Majestic Rose has also been racing in better company since her successful debut at Kempton. AMIS REUNIS is on the upgrade and knuckled down in fetching style to beat Royal Red at Windsor, suggesting that she can take this before going on to better things.
