Verdict
Our Acquaintance won readily last time and has no penalty for that apprentice race win; Towy Boy and Our Kally make it to the shortlist. The selection finished in front of Our Kally last time at Windsor on similar ground and despite being worse off at the weights today should confirm those placings. He handles the ground and under young David Probert looks the one in a tight handicap. Our Kally raced from 8lbs out of the weights last time and is not so far out of the weights today; she wouldn't mind any further rain. Meridian Line has been tumbling down the weights this season but for good reason so a bigger danger could be Towy Boy who ran well in defeat last time. Miss Firefly is a course and distance winner and is quickly turned out after a fair third on Tuesday at Brighton; she is better on quicker ground however. Swindon Town Flyer is not one to trust and so we will return to Our Acquaintance as the winner.
