In depth
Verdict
The experienced horses look nothing special and so we will side with the debutante Lochstar, Ellablue and Millachy could be the main rivals. Andrew Balding's colt is from a superb line being a son of the great race mare Lochsong. His father, Anabaa could also go a bit and in what looks a distinctly modest event he can make it first time lucky. Millachy finished second here on her only two-year-old outing, but that winner is only rated 67. She should improve for the experience and has solid place claims here. Ellablue has a fitness edge on most of these but again is rated pretty low and a half decent newcomer should be better than that. Which brings us back to Lochstar, who can win this before possibly emulating some of his parents brilliant exploits.
