In depth

Verdict

Ridgeway is penalised for beating three rivals easily over the course and distance on fast going last month, though looks to have plenty of scope. Crystal Pegasus, narrowly beaten into third on good to soft at Haydock, couldn't quite contain Brilliant Lights over 1m4f at Wolverhampton and the track and conditions will be in his favour. But he could find conceding 3lb to MOOMBA just beyond him as Amanda Perrett's charge ran a fine race in a Class 3 handicap at Goodwood where he looked on the upgrade. The newcomers Dutch Schultz and Second Slip are worth a market check, especially the latter who is a half-brother to three decent winners.
