      In depth

      Verdict

Dundry is not the most straightforward of horses but he has ability and is taken to land this tricky handicap, Desert Storm and Jayer Gilles could provide most danger. The selection was making his seasonal debut when an excellent third behind Trance at Newbury. He didn't do too badly last time over a shorter trip and as he looks an out and out stayer today's distance may prove ideal. Desert Storm beat some seasoned performers last time out with plenty in hand and should again be in the shake up. Jayer Gilles is improving with racing and is another to consider for the places. Others worthy of a mention are Bobleigh and Takafu, but we return to Dundry as the likely winner.
