Verdict

Constantino’s defeat of Humbert at Lingfield at the start of the month was decent form and he wasn’t disgraced in the Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton subsequently, though was less than a length ahead of the returning Examiner. He has won on Turf so is a leading contender here but TONY CURTIS has a touch of class and went close on soft ground at Goodwood in a light campaign last year. Only 2lb higher here, Richard Hannon’s five-year-old can defy top weight. The others probably have some improving to do, though Berkshire Boy goes well fresh and has won around here in the past.
