Verdict

A number of these have been jumping and one of those, Eddiemaurice, was second in this last year. He was a long way behind Moabit over hurdles at Chepstow last month, however. Paul Nicholls’ versatile performer beat Champagne Champ over 1m6f at Salisbury last year but the top weight is now 6lb better off and has also won over obstacles recently so could turn the tables. QUOTHQUAN hasn’t managed a win over hurdles so far but has yet to finish out of the places and also won over 1m6f at Salisbury last autumn – he might be well treated on his return to the Flat. Moayadd won four times early last year but hasn’t been seen since May and is unproven on the surface. Medburn Cutler is still 6lb higher than when last successful but deserves a change of luck and, if there is a decent pace, his stamina could come into play. See Of Rome is looking a few pounds too high on his return.
