In depth

Verdict

A big field for this track but a case can be made for only a few and MEN DON'T CRY looks the safest bet of those. He's been thereabouts since winning at Ffos Las in July and looks capable of scoring off his current mark. Hero's Story is another with claims dropping back down into this lowly grade while Walter De La Mare was beaten only a head over track and trip on his penultimate start and Eyeline also went close here last month. Gung Ho has won a claimer in the French provinces and has his first start for new connections.
