Verdict

SKY HIGH KID is the selection with Compton Classic and Bertie Southstreet the most obvious dangers on paper. The gelding is closely related to a number of Guineas winners and cost 70 000 euros at the sales. Things clearly haven't gone to plan and this drop in grade into what is a very poor contest is interesting. Compton Classic is fairly exposed in handicaps and is better known on artificial surfaces these days. His last effort on turf was woeful but he does have a high draw to work from tonight. Bertie Southstreet is likeable enough. He made all to land a Folkestone claimer though has struggled outside of plating company since. Best One was third in a similar contest at the track earlier in the season. Cheekpieces replace the blinkers he wore on his latest start. Rockfield Lodge rarely wins. Duke Of Milan is exposed at this grade and will not be far away from the minor placings. Pappoose has been disappointing thus far but there is an argument to suggest that she could still be unexposed. Marina Walk is another to drop in class whilst Boldinor is exposed as ordinary though could run well at bigger prices. Sky High Kid is put forward to minimum stakes.
