Verdict

Ice Echo showed promise over a trip too short on his debut then stepped up a gear to finish runner-up to the ill-fated Case Statement at Limerick. He should be even better over this longer trip and it will be a surprise if he isn't concerned in the finish. But ATHENRY BOY, who was only a length behind in third in that latter race, was staying on nicely at the finish and as that was his first start he can improve enough to reverse the form and take this. Double Windsor's debut in April came on very heavy ground and he's been given a break so should do better while Dermot Weld's newcomer Bleu Ciel Et Rouge is by Manduro out of a mare who won from a mile to 1m4f. She'll find this trip the minimum requirement but could prove to be a smart prospect and her stable continue in tremendous form. La Bella Rose has shown good pace over shorter and her pedigree suggests this is as far as she wants to go.
