Alterno was in excellent form last autumn and will have come on a bundle for last month's reappearance at Downpatrick. Trump Sixteen's victory at Limerick was on heavy ground but MULLINAVAT acts on any going and will take some beating. He completed a hat-trick at the end of last season and was having his first start since October when a good third over fences at Punchestown last month. He can go much higher than a rating of 106 over timber and will be difficult to beat. Gold Seal is making his handicap debut and facing older horses for the first time after a narrow maiden victory at Roscommon but Oakmont made a very encouraging start in handicaps at Gowran and with just a 3lb rise to contend with should get into the action. Persian Wind can never be ruled out at this level and is 17lb lower than his chase rating so has to be a major player.
