Verdict

No three-year-old has won this which isn't surprising over the trip and today's going makes it even more difficult for the younger brigade. Everything Zain has been running with credit but over much shorter so the ability to last out the trip has to be taken on trust. FARANDOONEY began life in handicaps off a mark of 75 and is now down to 50. He ran very well over 2m1f at Clonmel in May and reverted to hurdling at Listowel last month and gained his first success. He looks well handicapped nowadays and should double his winning tally. Man In Black has had 20 starts on the Flat and never won and his only success over timber came on fast ground and he won't get that here. The going also looks a problem for Passion Planet who has been well beaten when encountering soft ground.
