Verdict
Now that Red River Rebel has struck form again, he is taken to follow up at the expense of Bronwen, Night Sight and Wizard Looking. Red River Rebel always goes well round here, having won three times and been placed the same number of times from eight visits, and looks all set to go close again judged on his latest effort at Leicester. John Norton's seven-year-old appreciated the good gallop and made the most of his lenient mark to get back to winning ways, and should ensure that Bronwen does not have things all his own way. Beaten only a neck by Sualda in this event last year, he lines up on a three-pound lower mark so must go close. Bronwen has plenty of stamina but may not be suited to this drop back in trip now and could be on a stiff mark for what she has achieved. Night Sight plugged on well behind Oldenway here last time and now moves up in distance. Topweight is offset by Danny Tudhope's claim and he should run well, while Wizard Looking has conjured himself up a six-pound penalty for a hard-fought win at Nottingham. We shall stick with Red River Rebel to go one better than 12 months ago.
