An open contest can go to MAGIC MILLIE, who is taken to get the better of Brink and Venture Girl. The selection remains a maiden after 11 attempts but has gone close enough to winning on a few occasions and put up a decent effort in context over further than this at Warwick last time. From a 1lb lower mark she can go very close on ground that suits. Brink is arguably less exposed and the drop in trip may well be a plus. If she handles conditions then there is every chance that she will be in the shake-up. Venture Girl is not certain to stay if her pedigree means anything, but Tim Easterby is a shrewd judge and with going to suit we should check the market as a guide to her chance. Quality Mover is very interesting now handicapping from a mark of just 68. With the stable still in form she is another to monitor in the betting, but without that knowledge we'll side with Magic Millie.
