In depth

Verdict

Richard Fahey and Kevin Ryan have won six of the last 10 renewals between them and both run newcomers. Kirkham is a half-brother to decent sprinter Bispham Green and Ferryover is related to a middle-distance winner. Spirit Of Zebedee is out of a prolific mare and another newcomer to note but KING'S MIMIC is the one beat. Ann Duffield's charge finished clear of a subsequent winner when third over track and trip on last month's debut and that looks stronger form than Baby Ballerina and Majestic Bond's placed efforts.
