Verdict
There should not be too much between Whistling Dixie and Lago on their latest runs, although Lago remains a maiden and Whistling Dixie is best on soft ground so it may pay to look elsewhere. Charm Offensive has won over this trip on sand and put up an improved effort when not getting the best of runs over 14 furlongs at Nottingham last time. He now races off a 4lb lower mark than his last win and gets the vote ahead of Spa Lane, who would have a chance if reproducing recent Pontefract form.
