        Verdict

        OREWA showed an impressive turn of foot to score by three lengths over track and trip on last month’s debut. Brian Ellison’s colt can defy a penalty if proving as effective on today’s much faster going. The others with racecourse experience make little appeal so a newcomer could prove a bigger threat. Of those, Book Of Poetry is a 160,000 euros purchase and Major Jumbo is a half-brother to a winning sprinter while Carson City and Ray Donovan also represent powerful northern yards.
