        Verdict

        River Kent, Flash of Fire and Harrison's Star make most appeal here and the vote is given to River Kent. The selection is a lightly-raced type and he was narrowly denied in a bobbing finish here last time when he finished second behind Caffari. He has ground conditions to suit today and if he can reproduce that effort here then he should take plenty of beating. Flash Of Fire looks the obvious alternative as he wasn't disgraced last time out in a race won by Captain Mainwaring. This faster surface should aid his cause and he can go well. Harrison's Star has shown promise in three maidens so far and he could be well treated for his handicap debut, while Police Officer ran okay last time and is another worth a mention. However, this looks a good opportunity for River Kent who can gain compensation for his recent narrow defeat.
