        Verdict

        This is a modest heat with few arriving in any kind of form. The draw always plays a part over 5f here and Newgate Angel has been lucky in that respect. Chillon Castle has been less fortunate with the outside stall but was placed in a handicap here eight days ago when a length ahead of De Latour with ALISIA R further behind. The latter met all kinds of trouble that day, however, and should get a lot closer today granted luck in-running. Independence Day also has decent claims but Ripon third Invincible Bertie will need to break smartly from stall 12 to figure.
