Verdict
Bluegrass Beau has kept good company of late but was disappointing on his most recent outing and we might have seen the best of him for this term. Sparky's Mate though shaped promisingly on his only start to date keeping on nicely to finish fourth at Newmarket and wouldn't have to improve much to take this contest. Lauro won well on his debut at Haydock and wasn't disgraced last time at Thirsk and is respected along with Tumbling Sand, who seemed well suited by the step up to this trip when placed at Newcastle last month. Pacific Paddy won on the polytrack at Lingfield but has looked far from at home on turf and is hard to recommend.
