Verdict
There are question marks about quite a few of the field but one who will go on the ground and is well suited by the trip is in-form Trouble Mountain. After a series of below-par efforts, Trouble Mountain scored well at Doncaster a couple of weeks ago and looks sure to make a bold bid. Muwassi will love the ground but it was a muddling little race he won at Haydock recently and he may be anchored by his penalty, whilst dual purpose horse Welsh Main looks to have a tall order along with Penny Pictures whose connections have repeatedly stated that the horse doesn't go on soft ground. Derwent is another who would ideally prefer faster conditions but is in good form and can't be ruled out along with the frustrating McGillycuddy Reeks who would win this if given a more positive ride than of late.
