    Verdict

Thatcherite, who won this in 2015 and generally goes well on the track, was having his first run since that year when well beaten here last month though will undoubtedly have needed the run. Vimy Ridge has won here and has dropped to a winnable mark while Bond Bombshell won here last summer and is only 3lb higher. Jack Luey is another course and distance winner and he's back on the same mark as when successful at Pontefract last summer under Paul Hanagan. HENLEY has only won once in 20 starts but has been getting closer recently and had several of these behind when runner-up at Pontefract last month so gets the nod to double his winning tally. Socialites Red responded well to his young rider at Nottingham and though that was over 6f this is a very stiff minimum.
