Verdict

Celestial Force makes a quick reappearance after failing to stay 1m6f at Ascot on Saturday though that was a better race than this. He'd carried a big weight to score over 1m4f here earlier but has to concede weight to OCTOBER STORM and that may prove beyond him. Mick Channon's charge is an out-and-out stayer who will relish the stiff finish here and looks certain to give a good account. Mark Johnston's three-year-old Rochester House has been running consistently over 1m6f and his pedigree suggests this trip won't be beyond him while Always Resolute is well up to this class though does better with some give in the ground. Snookered alternates between the Flat and hurdles but is another who would prefer some rain while Flower Power completed a Catterick double when scoring over this trip in October and is on a lower mark.
