Verdict

International Man made a successful debut at York before finding Codicil and good to soft ground against him when strongly fancied to follow up here. He'll need to step-up on that as he has are a few potentially decent rivals. Baileys Excelerate is one of those having shown good speed throughout at Musselburgh while Global Conqueror only faded in the closing stages over this trip at Newmarket and will have come on a bundle. Carlini made his debut in what looked a strong Newbury maiden but pulled too hard and was eventually well beaten but he showed enough to suggest he will do much better this time. MISS MO BROWN BEAR is now thoroughly exposed but a line through Codicil, who beat her a neck at Kempton in June, suggests this can finally be her day to lose her maiden tag.
