In depth
Verdict
Golden Dixie, King's Gait and Malapropism form the shortlist in this handicap and the vote is given to Malapropism. The selection is on a handy mark at present and although he finished sixth last time out at Windsor, he was not beaten all that far. He has a good draw today and is taken to score. Golden Dixie rates the main danger as he was returning from a break when a good second behind Fantasiste on the all-weather at Kempton. He is sure to benefit from that run and he has to enter calculations today. King's Gait has been in fair form of late and although he acts on this surface, he is probably at his best with more cut in the ground. Golden Asha is a course and distance winner but he may need the run today and he is poorly drawn. We are therefore happy to stick with Malapropism to lead them home.
