Verdict
Soapy Danger gets the vote in this handicap with Historic Appeal and Fusili the best of the others. The selection has done little wrong in his three starts and he battled gamely when beaten a neck by High Command last time. He looks a progressive type and is difficult to oppose. Historic Appeal was not helped by the testing ground at Musselburgh last time when finishing second behind Manouche. He should be suited by this step-up in trip and if our selection fails to fire then he could be the one to take advantage. Fusili was having her first crack at this trip last time at Lingfield when a decent second behind Lightning Strike. She looked worth another try over this distance on the evidence of that run and as she has been running consistently well she has to be of interest with the useful James Doyle in the plate. Archimboldo may prove best of the rest, but for the winner we will return to Soapy Danger.
