Rampant Lion makes his handicap debut and was battling on when a close third over an extended 7f here last time so has to be respected. Brother McGonagall has only been raised 4lb for scoring over Doncaster's straight mile and he'll be suited by this stiff uphill climb to the finish while Keepup Kevin is just 3lb higher than his victory at Newmarket last May and ran well on his comeback at Yarmouth. Ideal Candy did well to finish runner-up here last time though that was a lower grade event so the vote goes to PANTERA NEGRA, despite a long absence. She finished runner-up on her reappearance here last July then won twice the following month, including over the course and distance. She can improve again this campaign and make a winning return.
