Verdict

DIAMOND LAURA is by far and away the form horse in the opener and is taken to land it at the expense of Mrs Jones And Me and Menediva. The selection comes from the in form David Evans yard who have been in a purple patch for the past two months. He has had a good strike rate with his two year olds and Diamond Laura has already added two wins in that sphere to his tally. With two wins at Wolverhampton to her name she has to be respected at this low grade level and if she can reproduce her recent form she will take all the beating. Mrs Jones And Me has shown only a modest amount of ability in similar races to date but her trainer is in good form this summer so any market moves should be noted. Menediva is another that has shown very little but in such a small field of moderate horses she could well fall into a place. But for the winner we return to Diamond Laura.
