In depth

Verdict

A cracking handicap for the track and Mr Mahoose, who has been tackling better company of late, can make the most of the ease in grade. Although only ninth in the Victoria cup, he wasn't beaten that far, and the fourth in that event Sea Star, has gone on to frank the form in good style at York. Nayyir, so impressive on his debut, when beating a solid yardstick in 75 rated Prince Tulum, doesn't look overburdened off 83. There is little to choose between him and the consistent Thihn, but he is open to more improvement than the latter and should confirm the form. Prairie Wolf will be better for his seasonal debut and should give a good account.
