      Verdict

      Snowed Under is the selection ahead of Oldenway, with Night Sight and Calamari best of the remainder. Snowed Under lines up with solid credentials, having won his last two starts in the manner of an improving animal. After returning to form with a smooth success at Leicester at the end of last month, he then followed up off a five-pound higher mark on a return visit, and in his current mood, will surely take some stopping under Philip Robinson. James Bethall's charge also has a course and distance victory to his credit and will have no problem with the ground as proved recently. Oldenway has also been successful over track and trip and ran well in defeat at Chester last time. A beaten favourite then, he will go close and is the main danger. Night Sight has to improve on a below-par effort at Doncaster but his apprentice pilot is in top form, and the three-year-old Calamari gets weight from her older rivals and has some scope. On current form though, Snowed Under has the best claims of all.
