Verdict
This should turn into a close battle between Market Avenue and Windy Britain, with the latter taken to add to his course and distance victory. That success here came on 24 April when Luca Cumani's filly lost her maiden tag in handicap company. Since then she has followed up with narrow wins at Carlisle and Pontefract but found the easy ground against her when a beaten odds-on favourite at Hamilton. The faster conditions here will ensure that she gives her true running and she is fancied to get the better of Market Avenue who hails from the very much in-form yard of Richard Fahey. The four-year-old was given great ride by Adrian Nicholls at Chester, weaving her way through from the back to score narrowly on the fast ground. With conditions in her favour, Market Avenue will have plenty of support and can give Wind Britain most to do. Mana Pools has some ability but last visited the winner's enclosure in February when successful on Lingfield's Polytrack so cannot be given a leading chance against the principal pair, the best of whom should be Windy Britain.
