      Verdict

      Safsoof can keep up the good run enjoyed by Godolphin, with Sharplaw Star and Space Maker expected to give him most to do. Saeed Bin Suroor's juveniles have been flying high throughout the summer and the onset of the slightly colder weather has not dampened the run. Safsoof was thought good enough to be sent off as favourite on his Kempton debut but had the misfortune to bump into subsequent Lowther Stakes heroine Soar. Down the field in the Windsor Castle next time, the son of Gilded Time was then given the easiest of tasks at Southwell, his starting price of 1-10 proving spot on. That was an exercise canter but this will be a little bit tougher. However, he should improve again to follow up, with Sharplaw Star likely to give him most to do. She lost no caste in defeat when third to Damson in the Queen Mary and is closely matched with the selection on a line through runner-up Soar. Space Maker made all the running on his last visit here so has that in his favour, although he meets two classy animals here, with Safsoof expected to prove the best of them.
