Verdict

Golden War has form over the track and trip but doesn’t seem to relish a battle. He has been gelded since last seen, however, and headgear is applied today. Sydney Street is the likely pace angle while Rich King has attracted market support in both starts to date. CAVENDISH was very green on debut at Epsom12 days ago but wasn’t unduly punished. He will have come on a bundle for the experience and the stiff finish here should play to his strengths. The Predictor was a £47,000 yearling and is a half-brother to a winning miler so looks the pick of the newcomers.
