In depth

Verdict

Golden Prosperity had been threatening to win before getting off the mark at the 23rd time of asking at Musselburgh. He has the inside berth though high numbers are usually favoured on soft ground here. Impressor is up 7lb for a convincing victory at Hamilton though that's unlikely to prevent another big effort while High Opinion will love the conditions and found Catterick just too sharp last week. It's taking John Kirkup an age to add to his nine career victories while SPANISH ANGEL is best on the all-weather though arrives here on a 10lb lower mark after last week's Wolverhampton victory so gets the nod.
